![]() WW2 bunker - Once you enter you will leave with atleast 1 weapon and ammo for it, but most of the time you will have 2 weapons and ammo for it, stun grenades and some clothing. And i'm pretty sure you have been in some WW2 bunkers, castle or hunting stands. And all you have to do is sprint and press F couple of times.ġ00+ hours in this game and you should know most of the map (if you have been roaming, but that's what people do when they start playing this game, am i right?). IF im unlucky i have M1 without clip or a Hunter 85. Within 10 minutes of spawn i have a gun and ammo, most of the time Kar98+Pump while wearing spawn clothing. Now i know these are noobish hours, but as far as looting.i've mastered this game.I also know that this game is in alpha stage and there are many things to be added but. ![]() I started playing 3+ weeks ago and i have 140+ hours playtime (official loot servers only, high pop), Solo-roaming playstyle. If you are interested in learning about Okinawa war, you better go visit as soon as when you have a chance.I'm not some old timer playing since 2018, so i dont know how it used to be. What the guide told me is an air-raid shelter might be closed in few years (or in 10 to 20 years) because of progress in aging inside of bunkers. My recommendation is to visit Haebaru culture center first, and then go into air-raid shelter. You can have experience of scent of inside of air-raid shelter at the time if you would like.Īlso, there is Haebaru culture center located near air-raid shelter and they have replica of Okinawa Army Hospital bunkers No.20 that you can see, touch, and learn many things from there. Teen girls at the time, they were forced to take care injured Japanese soldiers with few knowledge of nursing, desperate to survive in the war. You can go inside and see how people survived through the world war 2 with local volunteer guide (you need to book before you visit if you need English speaking guide). This place is the most peaceful and sad place at the same time. Luckily, there was no one else alive in the cave, as you learn that Japanese patients who could not be evacuated were poisoned by their doctors with potassium cyanide with milk. So probably some grenades, a stream from a flamethrower, and that was that. An interesting view of how those surrounded by death normalize it.ĭid the US forces set fire to the cave when they found it? Certainly as it wasnt marked, and the Japanese had a habit of not surrendering/fighting to the last. When finding remains on a bunk he wanted, he just dumped them on the ground and took the wood. An interesting part in the movie is a local man who went into the cave as a boy to get lumber to build a shed. There is a small display of medical supplies (and a microscope!) unearthed by the entrance (the better to come back later and get them), and some Korean grafitti, but all of the wooden bunks and anything else useful is long gone. The actual tunnel itself is empty (short drive away). There you can read the history of the effort to build underground hospitals, see relics of war, hear eye witness stories, and walk through a creepy mock-up of the wartime tunnel, with bloodied mannequins to boot! I took this tour as part of a Kadena-based ITT tour, and would recommend a stop at the main hospital museum.
